# The Construction Clinic

HXL runs a free community-facing construction guidance clinic for Hillingdon residents, delivered in partnership with Hillingdon Council and the Hillingdon Chamber of Commerce. Practical early-stage guidance for homeowners planning extensions, refurbishments or home-improvement projects.

Format: in-person at accessible local venues. Pilot: three sessions over approximately six months, every two months during pilot. Council attendance once per quarter. Session length 90 minutes to 2 hours. Free to residents.

Scope: planning basics, budgeting, sequencing of works, selecting a consultant team, common early-stage mistakes. Not a substitute for formal council advice or professional appointments. Sits before those steps to help residents prepare.
